Rutgers Labor Relations Department has confirmed for our union the schedule of the negotiated pay increases for our HPAE Local 5135 bargaining unit members. Although there has been a delay, the increases will be paid retroactively.
For full-time and part-time Staff Nurses and APNs:
Full-time and part-time staff nurses on the RB and RH scale and Advanced Practice Nurses on the RS scale eligible for the October 2014 pay raise will receive the increase in the March 25 paycheck. The retro pay for October 2014 will be paid out in the April 8 paycheck.
In addition, full-time and part-time staff nurses on the RB and RH scale, and Advanced Practice Nurses on the RS scale eligible for the October 2015 pay raise will receive the increase in the April 8 paycheck. The retro pay for October 2015 will be paid out in the April 22 paycheck.
For Per Diem Staff Nurses:
The new per diem staff nurse rates will be reflected in the March 11 paycheck. Per diem staff nurses will receive retro pay from January 10 in the March 25 paycheck.
You must be on the payroll on the date of payment in order to receive the raises, including the retroactive portions.
We are proud of the contract we negotiated and the increases we have secured. However, we believe the University has taken an unreasonable amount of time to process our increases. If you encounter any problems related to this schedule be sure to notify a union representative.
