All participants in the HPAE Retiree Medical Trust receive annually an Annual Participant Statement which provides total contributions to the retiree medical plan made by the end of the previous year, the participant’s status in the plan, and the estimated monthly reimbursement benefit if the participant had retired at the end of the previous year.
By using the benefit calculator below, you can get an estimated monthly benefit for when you plan to retire and access the monthly benefit. You can also find out how much your estimated total reimbursement benefit will be after 10, 20, or 30 years of retirement.
(Please note: You must have left employment with a participating employer, be at least 55 years old, and have 5 years of active service credits to be a “Regular Beneficiary” who is eligible for a monthly reimbursement benefit. If you have less than 5 years of active service credits when you leave employment with a participating employer, you are a “Limited Beneficiary” and, assuming you meet other eligibility criteria, you can receive reimbursements from a lump sum amount equal to the contributions made into the plan.)
The estimated monthly reimbursement benefit and the estimated total value of reimbursement benefits after retirement is based on the current retiree medical expense plan, which is subject to change by the trustees.
