HPAE President Urges Members to Donate to AFT’s Texas Disaster Relief Fund

Our national union, the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), has a disaster relief fund that is working to make sure our union sisters and brothers in  Puerto Rico, Florida and Texas and the communities they serve receive help and relief during and after this storm.

The donations to the relief fund will help our members and affected communities—from Miami to San Juan to Houston—rebuild. Whether it is home damage, ruined cars, injuries from the floods or even lost school material, we’re going to make sure people get back on their feet.

I have just made a contribution to the relief fund, and want to give others the chance to help our brothers and sisters in their time of need.
