We met today with HMH to discuss our proposal with respect to raises, retention bonuses and incentive plan for all. Management offered the same 3% across the board that non-union employees will receive; they proposed this to replace our guaranteed contractual 2.25% merit increase. In exchange for this 0.75% increase, they want us to withdraw multiple grievances and arbitrations, including the already resolved Holiday OT and Covid Float.
As a Union, we began these discussions sticking together for a raise across the board for everyone and the Union remains committed to working with Hackensack to retain and recruit employees. We believe that healthcare workers, within this state, deserve more than a 3% raise.
