As we move through these difficult negotiations at the national level we know we are all united too win a fair contract . While the Teamsters exit from the coalition has slowed down the process, we are continuing to make progress and will keep you posted with any updates or actions needed to move Red Cross.
As most of you know, the Teamsters have put in a notice to for a strike on March 31st at 6am. While we stand in solidarity with all workers fighting for better wages and working conditions, no HPAE members should participate in the strike action or withhold your labor in any way. Because of the contract extension, we are still subject to the no strike/no lockout language and participating in the strike could have severe consequences for us individually and collectively as a Union.
