It was great to see so many of you at our contract update meetings yesterday. As we laid out, Rowan University is not budging on a number of our key issues – increasing lay off rights and incorporating flexible work options and an associated dispute resolution process – and has failed to engage on our economic proposals for the last two negotiating sessions.
Knowing that our strength comes from our unity, we launched a petition yesterday that demands Rowan engage with our proposals and respect our work and we ask that you sign in solidarity. If you care about issues like job security, flexible work options, good wages, and more, please support our efforts at the negotiating table by signing the petition here: https://tinyurl.com/RowanContract2023
We also ask that you reach out to your HPAE coworkers to urge them to sign as well – we need everyone to help with this effort! Please note that only signatures of HPAE members will be submitted to management when we go back to the negotiating table at the end of September. If you have a coworker who is not yet a member of our union (or isn’t sure whether they are a member), please ask them join as a member by filling out our membership form here: https://bit.ly/3kI6Euq
