Local 5118 Negotiations Update, March 27

March 27th was our 4th bargaining session. To date, a great deal of our time has been spent discussing the need to improve KEEPING US SAFE AT WORK. We have a long way to go. Again, we went through each of our proposals across the table. Emphasized that there must be a retention bonus of some sort and our staffing language must improve. We rejected their initial economic package.

Here are the tentative agreements (TA’s) that we have signed off on to date. This language would replace the language in our current Union contract if we reach an agreement for a new contract with Cooper. Our current contract is on line here. We suggest that you compare the TA’s to the current language to understand what the tentative changes would be.

We are posting the TA’s so when it is time to vote on a new contract, you will have the information prior to coming out to vote.

Next bargaining session is April 3. Important Day. BE THERE!!!

MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS: APRIL 10. 8am, 1, 5:30 and 8pm. The 8pm meeting will be a hybrid meeting – in person and by Zoom.

In Solidarity –
