System Failure

We have taken the proactive step of requesting information about the system failure that occurred on December 2 and its impact on you and your patients.  When we receive information, we will update you.

Patient Safety is a top priority for all of us.  We want to organize and demand action from HMH on patient safety concerns that arose due to the system failure.  Please contact your local union executive board with details about your experiences.

Payroll Update

We received the following update to our info request. Please check your payroll today and notify manager of errors immediately.


Payroll was processed as normal for today’s pay (12/6/19). But, the following reimbursements will not appear in today’s regular paychecks. Therefore, we are processing a ‘special’ off-cycle payroll for Tuesday, December 10 to include the following:

  • Expense reimbursements
  • Nursing (Smart Square) ‘other’ shift bonuses
  • PTO & STD Top Off (paycheck protection)
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Wellness reimbursements

We will also have a normal off-cycle payroll next Friday, December 13. The deadline for submitting any additional adjustments for this off-cycle payroll is Tuesday (12/10) at 4 p.m. Team members who have payroll errors should contact their leader asap to allow time for leader to submit a payroll adjustment by the Tuesday (12/10) at 4 pm deadline.

Discretionary Holiday Award Payment:

As an update, although the file was uploaded successfully late last night and eligible team members will see their statements in MyWay, the direct deposits will sporadically hit between later today and Monday depending on when their bank posts the deposit.
