As many of you know, we are facing a severe nationwide nursing shortage that has prompted our employer to propose hiring bonuses in specialty areas: the ED, Cath Lab and OR. Our position is that our members deserve recognition because we have worked on the frontlines and are still here!! Our employer cannot hire in new members at a higher rate then is offered to our present members! We have put in a Demand to Bargain over Virtua’s proposed hiring bonuses.
