Local 5142 Member Alert: Contract Bargaining
With our contract expiring on May 31st, we are gearing up for negotiations with the Hospital. We will also be bargaining over the proposed sale of the Hospital so that we can all make sure our voices are heard during this transition.
Along with our Local President, Christa Saracino (MedSurg), our local bargaining committee will consist of Heather Casper (ICU) and Pam Misenti (MedSurg). Please reach out to us with any questions, or to get involved in the upcoming bargaining. The only way we can effectively fight for the things we care about during this transition is if we have members involved and standing behind us while we are at the bargaining table.
We will be announcing a membership meeting shortly, so please be on the lookout for that. Also, if you or anyone you know did not receive this email, please email our Staff Rep Marcus Presley- mpresley@hpae.org – so we can update our email list.
Finally, please make sure you report any staffing or safety issues you experience in the Hospital on our online staffing form: https://www.hpae.org/2019/09/local-5142-staffing-form/. This will help us prepare for bargaining and addresses serous issues as they arise.
