Local 5112 Membership Update, April 28, 2023

I am very sad and angry to advise all of you that your well-deserved retro pay and clothing allowance pay has been delayed again due to …..in Karen Dinsmore’s words “multiple departments , dropping the ball due to employee turnover”. We reminded her that our RNs have been patiently waiting for the pay they have already earned! We reiterated that they promised us it would be in today’s pay!

We have bargained in good faith with them, and they have not done the same. Karen stated to myself and Christine Munck, our new HPAE rep, that she will handle this situation personally and get finance to release the monies owed in our next pay or before!!

We expect Karen to give us the timetable today but I’m not sure the county can work that fast. We have requested a live check to be given to each of us ASAP!!! We will keep you all updated as we hear anything.

Thank you for your continued patience!

Most importantly for all of Us is the Safe Staffing Rally in Trenton on May 11th!!

We absolutely, positively need your support to make sure our legislators hear us!!!! Every one of your voices and stories about unsafe staffing can impact and resonate with them to impact change!! Think of all the times you worked with only 1 or 2 RNs that impacts our patient and their families’ outcomes. It also impacts Our Mental Health and our families when we come home tired and stressed day after day!!!!! This is the beginning of change!! Please be a part of it with Us and for Us!!!!!
