Local 5147 Election Update, April 4, 2023

This year we have several contested elections for Local 5147 officers. Ballots will be mailed out this week to Local 5147 membership by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) . They are a neutral third party who will oversee the complete election. There will be different ballots for each bargaining unit since Vice Presidents must be elected by only their unit. Other positions are voted on by everyone. Ballots are counted from each bargaining then tallied as a whole by AAA. For uncontested positions, no vote is needed.

The mailing of ballots will take place on Thursday April 6, 2023. The deadline for the reception of ballots is scheduled for Thursday April 27, 2023, at 9:00 AM. The tabulation of ballots is scheduled for Thursday April 27, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the offices of AAA located at 120 Broadway, Concourse Level, New York, NY 10271. AAA will guarantee the secrecy of the ballots.

Voters with missing ballots will be directed to request replacements by calling our Duplicate Hotline 1-800-529-5218 Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This number is to be utilized only for duplicate ballot requests. Members may also make requests by e-mailing requests to Sacha Ulerio at ulerios@adr.org. We ask that voters not call prior to April 13, 2023, to allow for sufficient postal delivery.
