Local 5147 Negotiations Update, January 4, 2024

On January 4, we met with management for another full day of bargaining for our new contract. We had a mostly productive day with good discussion and several more tentative agreements executed.

Management did provide us with their initial wage offering and it includes a 0% increase in the first year for any employee who got a mid-contract adjustment (the vast majority of our membership here).

In addition, we had a lot of discussion on staffing. Management is still fully opposed to including staffing ratios in our contract. We, on the other hand, are fully committed to winning ratios for nursing in our new CBA.

Our next session is Thursday, January 11th. As always, we will keep you posted on our progress.
