Last year Rowan SOM signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Virtua to affiliate. The HPAE, CWA and AAUP are working together and have asked Rowan for a meeting to discuss this “affiliation”.
The HPAE Local 5094 Negotiating Committee is pleased to announce that our contract has been ratified with 94% approval – 154 members voting yes, 8 members voting no, and 2 blank ballots.
While the Teamsters exit from the coalition has slowed down the process, we are continuing to make progress and will keep you posted with any updates or actions needed to move Red Cross.
On March 22, HPAE Local 5097 received notification from the employer of its intent to sale The Harborage to Complete Care Management. The Union submitted in writing a “Demand to Bargain” over the effects of the proposed sale.
It’s important you attend one of the meetings for an update on discussions with HMH pertaining to raises, incentive bonus, market rate adjustments and retention bonus and what the next steps are in this process.
This is in response to recent rumors regarding HPAE not allowing Dr Kifaieh& Hudson Regional to give raises to members of our union. The union has not been approached by Dr Kifaieh or anyone from management regarding raises.
Membership meetings will be held next Tuesday March 29th at 6:30 pm and Wednesday March 30th at 12:30 pm.
Local 5185 is rerunning the election for the Local President’s position.
The HPAE Local 5094 Negotiating Committee encourages every member to participate in the upcoming vote to ratify the tentative terms of the new Agreement.
