HPAE United at Hackensack Meridian Health
In May and July 2017, contracts representing close to 2500 HPAE union members expire at three Hackensack Meridian Health facilities. Hackensack Meridian Health is emerging as a dominant force in the New Jersey healthcare world, with potential revenues of between $3 and 4 billion annually. As health systems merge and grow, our union is the leading voice for front-line caregivers on the job.
Our local union and state leaders are working together to make sure our contracts raise standards for everyone in the Hackensack Meridian System. In the long term, our goals are to improve staffing levels, ensure health insurance access and affordability, and establish equitable wages at all Hackensack Meridian facilities.
The HPAE Locals involved in contract negotiations with Hackensack Meridian Health include: Local 5030 – Palisades Medical Center, Local 5058 – Jersey Shore Medical Center, Local 5138 – Southern Ocean Medical Center, and Local 5097 – The Harborage.
